What to Expect
- Before your Session Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Always drink plenty of water before, during and after your session. Drinking an electrolyte-replacing water or a sports drink is strongly recommended before and after use.
- What to Wear Lightweight shorts and tee shirt are ok. Swimsuits are better. “Birthday Suit” is just fine, too. We can provide you with a gown during your session. We recommend bringing clothing that is loose fitting and comfortable to put back on after your session.
- After your Session When you finish your sauna session, it is important to relax and cool down while your body continues to perspire. Sit with a towel or wrap around you for about 5 minutes. Enjoy a cool glass of water before leaving the spa. Shower 30-60 minutes after your session. Please note we do not have a shower facility.
Chromotherapy
Our far infrared sauna has the added benefits of chromotherapy. Chromotherapy or light therapy is the science of using colors to adjust body vibrations to frequencies that result in health and harmony. Each color possesses frequencies of a specific vibration, and each vibration is related to different physical symptoms.
- RED
Believed to increase the pulse, raise blood pressure and increase the rate of breathing. Red would be applied to support circulatory and nervous functions. Red light can heal wounds, relieve pain and inflammation and has anti-aging benefits. - GREEN
Provides anti-inflammatory benefits. It is calming and helps to reduce capillary sizes and minimize the appearance of redness in the skin.
- BLUE
Promotes relaxation and calm. Blue exhibits tranquilizing qualities often used to relieve headaches and migraines, colds, stress, nervous tension, rheumatism, stomach pains, muscle cramps and liver disorders. Blue can also improve sun damage.
